ED arrests ex-Andhra Pradesh minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao in liquor transport case

The Enforcement Directorate apprehended ex-Andhra Pradesh minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao on Sunday, tied to an investigation concerning illicit money transfers linked to liquor tender operations. The ED claims that Rao and his son benefitted from Rs 15 crore through criminal syndicate engagements. Their anticipatory bail requests faced rejection in high courts, and the agency has seized assets totaling around Rs 37.7 crore.
