Derek Jeter and his father, Dr. Charles Jeter, launched the Turn 2 Foundation in 1996 during Jeter’s rookie MLB season to encourage young people to avoid drugs and alcohol and pursue healthier lifestyles. Thirty years later, Turn 2 has given back more than $48 million. Its Turn 2 Us programme has also reached more than 30,000 students, families and school staff through community and school-based initiatives.
