The Delhi government has begun shifting anganwadi centres operating from rented premises to MCD schools to provide children with better infrastructure and permanent facilities. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the centres will be developed in improved buildings over the next two years. The government also plans to raise anganwadi workers’ honorarium and improve their working conditions.
