In 1984, students who missed admission to IITs and Regional Engineering Colleges joined the first batch of a newly established private engineering college in Nagpur, YCCE. Four decades later, alumnus Sandeep Mall recalled how those students went on to become CEOs, government advisers, senior defence officers, PSU leaders and entrepreneurs. Their reunion highlighted a broader definition of success, showing that an engineering college’s reputation at admission does not necessarily determine long-term career outcomes.
