Connecticut plans to turn contaminated 66-acre mill site into riverside park

New Milford plans to redevelop a former brass mill site into a municipal campus. This project includes a new fire-training tower assembled from shipping containers. The town acquired the contaminated property after a lengthy legal dispute. Moving public works will also free up land for a riverside park. This transformation reclaims industrial land for public use and green space.
