In a remarkable feat, engineers have replaced 104 cutting tools in China’s Jintang undersea tunnel, overcoming tremendous underwater challenges. They utilised an innovative saturation hyperbaric system, inspired by diving technology, allowing workers to operate longer in a controlled pressurized environment. Once completed, the Jintang tunnel will proudly hold the title of the longest undersea high-speed rail tunnel in the world.
