China and Netherlands continue to fight on chip giant Nexperia, now Chinese court freezes $300 million of company’s assets

A Chinese court has frozen up to $300 million in Nexperia assets at the request of Wingtech, the Chinese owner stripped of control of the Dutch chipmaker last year. The order covers stakes in four China-based units and runs until 2029. Wingtech is separately seeking 8 billion yuan in damages, while Nexperia’s China arm shifts its entire product line to domestic 12-inch wafers.
