Chevron expands Venezuela presence with $7 billion plan to double oil output in five years

Chevron shares rose 0.51% to $212.13 on Wednesday as the oil major announced plans to invest more than $7 billion in Venezuela. The company aims to double production through its joint ventures to about 600,000 barrels per day over the next five years.
