A solar-powered CCTV camera installed near Banaswadi station has gone missing from its pole. This surveillance equipment was placed to monitor railway tracks and deter stone-pelting incidents. The camera had been installed only a few months ago along a vulnerable stretch. Railway authorities suspect miscreants damaged and stole the camera, which was easily accessible. A case has been registered with the Railway Protection Force following the incident.
