Card-machine payments delayed 457 days; commission orders Rs 40,000 compensation to businessman

A cloth trader faced a delay in receiving card payments amounting to Rs 9.38 lakh for 457 days. The Warangal district consumer commission found Worldline India responsible for the significant delay in remitting funds. The commission ordered Worldline to pay compensation for mental anguish and interest on the delayed amount. Claims against the service provider and Union Bank were dismissed with no liabilities confirmed.
