Earlier this year, the Kansas City Current launched a free youth soccer league in the Northeast neighbourhood, aiming to give 120 children aged 8 to 10 access to the sport. Co-owner Brittany Mahomes supported the initiative. She also received United WE’s inaugural Champion for Change Award, recognising her leadership in women’s sports and community development, alongside the Mahomes family’s philanthropic efforts through the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.
