BSE Clearing has launched three-working-day securities lending and borrowing (SLB) contracts to give market participants greater flexibility for short-term borrowing and delivery needs. The new contracts, effective August 17, will have a T+1 first leg and T+3 reverse leg, and initially cover F&O securities under the D-series prefix.

SBI shares rose sharply on Friday after the lender reported a 10% year-on-year rise in Q1 FY27 standalone profit to Rs 21,121 crore, beating Street estimates. Net interest income rose 15% to Rs 46,992 crore, while total business crossed Rs 110 trillion. The stock remains 9% below its 52-week high.

The Delhi government launched the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana to provide ₹2,500 monthly to eligible women. The application began on August 1, 2026, with over five lakh registrations by Saturday afternoon. Women aged 21-60 with an annual income of up to ₹2.5 lakh can apply.
