US authorities have seized internet domains linked to Chinese state-sponsored hacking platforms. These platforms, QScan and QTRouter, allegedly hid cyberattack origins globally. The group QTFY, employed by Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company, used these tools. Victims included NASA and the Department of Energy, among others. This action disrupts a global botnet targeting critical US infrastructure.

AICTE has launched the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Doctoral Fellowship Programme with a Rs 245 crore outlay to support 150 PhD scholars over five years. The initiative will promote research with practical applications, helping ideas move from laboratories to industry, startups and society while strengthening India’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The government has announced the Semicon 2.0 scheme with an incentive of around Rs 1.27 lakh crore or USD 13.5 billion to build the semiconductor ecosystem. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said investment proposals worth USD 12 billion are likely to come under the new scheme for chip production.
