BMC collects Rs 90 lakh in fines under new waste rules in 5 months

Mumbai’s BMC collected over ninety lakh rupees in fines since April. Over five thousand two hundred cases were recorded for various waste management violations. Construction debris dumping and transportation violations attracted significant fines from officials. The civic body aims to make all stakeholders accountable for maintaining cleanliness.
