After the family consumed the tainted food, they experienced illness and were hospitalized. Police suspect the domestic help may have accomplices and have launched an investigation into the incident. Valuables worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from the councillor’s home during the crime. The family members are now out of danger and recovering.
