At 7, he entered Guinness records; at 16, built a satellite: How a 20-year-old from Jammu raised $4.3 million for a space startup

Jammu-born entrepreneur Onkar Singh Batra began building technology at seven, wrote a book at 12 and founded a company at 13. At 16, he built InQube, an open-source satellite, which exposed him to communication gaps faced by satellites in low Earth orbit. He later founded Apolink in Silicon Valley to develop an in-space communication network for satellites. At 20, Batra has raised $4.3 million and is working to build continuous connectivity infrastructure for space.
