Around fifty BJP functionaries, including twenty-one MLAs, were detained while protesting outside the Chief Minister’s residence. They demanded Hemant Soren’s resignation over alleged recruitment examination irregularities in Jharkhand. The BJP leaders supported aspirants protesting for eighteen days regarding these alleged irregularities. They called for a CBI inquiry and cancellation of the JSSC CGL 2024 examination. The protesters also sought the chief minister’s resignation and transparent investigation.
