Apple has asked a US federal court for a preliminary injunction barring OpenAI and two former Apple engineers, Chang Liu and Tang Yew Tan, from using its trade secrets, alongside a motion for expedited discovery and four depositions. OpenAI rejected the Apple lawsuit in a blog post, publishing emails and iMessages it says show Apple’s outside counsel wrote to the wrong person and that Apple staff asked Liu for files after he left.
