Researchers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham have conducted a study on the effectiveness of handheld umbrellas in protecting against sun exposure. Their results revealed that traditional rain umbrellas can block a significant amount of harmful ultraviolet radiation. Moreover, silver-coated sun umbrellas offered even greater protection and cooling advantages.
