Mumbai’s Matunga Flower Merchants Association is marking its 54th year of Ganeshotsav with elaborate floral decorations at the local market. Six decorators from Tamil Nadu’s Salem district are using around 250kg of flowers for each of four themed decorations during the 12-day festival. The celebration is expected to cost over Rs 25 lakh, with the floral decorations alone accounting for around Rs 10 lakh.
