An assault at an old age home in Ahilyanagar led to the deaths of two residents and injured five others. The suspect, a resident with paralysis and speech issues, used a mobility stick to attack his fellow inmates. The police arrested the attacker after responding to the incident shortly after it occurred. Survivors were quickly taken to Ahilyanagar Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
