11th arrest in engineering admission fraud case

Powai police arrested a SIM gallery sales executive as the eleventh accused in an engineering admission fraud case. This executive allegedly supplied SIM cards activated without customer knowledge to fraudsters. The ten engineering accused arrested last month were released on bail on Wednesday. Police identified twenty-three SIMs allegedly issued without obtaining proper customer documents. Detection teams tracked the racket for a month by collecting financial transaction details.
