An 11-year-old boy from Mumbai drowned in the Godavari River on Saturday morning. The boy was part of a group visiting Nashik’s Panchavati area for temple visits. Local youths and lifeguards rescued three other boys who were struggling in the water. Divers later found the missing boy, Gopal Umesh Gupta, in the river. He was declared dead at the district civil hospital after being brought ashore.
