Rs 2,184 crore Borivali-Virar rail project reaches 30%: 26km expansion aims to ease Mumbai suburban congestion

Mumbai Railroad Vikas Corporation is expanding the Borivali-Virar suburban line. This major capacity expansion project is now approximately thirty percent complete. Additional lines will increase capacity and improve train service reliability for commuters. The project, costing Rs 2,184 crore, is scheduled for completion in 2029.
