Railways translate 26-year-old dream into reality, Mizoram’s Bairabi-Sairang Line ready

After overcoming challenges like difficult terrain and short working seasons, the Bairabi-Sairang railway line has connected Mizoram’s capital, Aizawl, to the country’s railway network. Conceptualized in 1999 and declared a National Project in 2008-09, the 51.38-km line features numerous tunnels and bridges.
