Shares of Ola Electric and Ather Energy surged up to 11% after the Delhi Cabinet approved the EV Policy 2.0 with a Rs 15,000 crore outlay. The policy offers incentives for electric two-wheelers, targets 95% EV registrations by 2027 and is expected to accelerate electric mobility adoption in the capital.
Mutual funds increased holdings for eight consecutive quarters in 36 BSE 1000 companies, signalling sustained institutional conviction. While several stocks delivered strong returns and some more than doubled investor wealth, consistent institutional buying did not guarantee gains, with a few stocks posting sharp declines despite rising mutual fund ownership.
Maruti Suzuki shares rose nearly 5% after Jefferies upgraded the stock to ‘Buy’ and raised its target price to Rs 16,500, citing strong passenger vehicle demand, easing crude prices and lower metal costs. The brokerage expects steady earnings growth and sees valuations as reasonable after recent underperformance.
