A CID Haryana inspector was arrested for accepting a bribe. He allegedly demanded money to allow mining vehicles to operate freely. The inspector agreed to accept Rs 7,000 per vehicle monthly. He then demanded Rs 5 lakh based on approximately seventy vehicles. The State Vigilance Bureau conducted the operation and is investigating further.
