California approves $44m for 15 land projects, including 14,177-acre protection

California has approved $43.868 million for 15 conservation projects across 11 counties. The funding will help protect 14,177 acres of forest and salmon habitat, conserve 1,093 Mojave Desert acres, restore streams and meadows, and acquire an 80-acre Tribal property for ecological restoration and training.
