Aliganj police filed a nearly 500-page chargesheet against four accused in the deadly fire incident. The investigation was completed 87 days after the June 22 fire claimed fifteen lives. Building owner Virendra Prasad Shukla and three others were named in the chargesheet. One accused, Surendra, remains absconding and a reward is offered for his arrest. The fire highlighted serious lapses in building fire-safety arrangements and regulatory oversight.
