India’s crude oil imports in August witnessed a significant decline, falling by more than eleven percent compared to July. On an annual basis, imports also dropped by three percent. Although there was a rise in product imports from the prior month, year-on-year comparisons showed a sharp decrease. Fuel consumption reached a concerning low, the weakest since September 2024.
