The Centre has agreed to lower the NEET-SS qualifying percentile from 50th to 30th for the proposed Special Stray Vacancy Round after 1,857 super-speciality seats remained vacant following Round 2 counselling. The move could bring around 6,000 more candidates into the counselling pool, while 40 Tamil Nadu in-service seats will undergo a separate state-level vacancy round.
