M.S. Subbulakshmi’s life and musical journey are being adapted into a new film. Rashmika Mandanna will portray the iconic Carnatic vocalist in the upcoming biopic. The film’s announcement coincided with M.S. Subbulakshmi’s 110th birth anniversary. Director Gowtam Tinnanuri is helming the project, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. Actor Kamal Haasan offered encouragement to Mandanna at the film’s launch event.
