Scottish amateur golfer Craig Surgeon received a five-year suspension from county golf. He admitted to breaking rules during the Lothians Amateur Championship in July. Surgeon dropped a ball and falsely claimed it was a provisional one. Kingsknowe Golf Club will also replicate the county suspension for its member. The club confirmed a formal disciplinary process is currently underway.
