Palantir, Nvidia and Booz Allen Hamilton are restricting how employees use Anthropic and OpenAI’s advanced AI models, and want guarantees that proprietary company data will not be retained or used for training. The trigger is Anthropic’s 30-day data retention policy, introduced in June with Claude Fable 5. Palantir is holding out for irrevocable zero data retention, Nvidia is routing sensitive work to its own Nemotron models, and Anthropic has answered with Enterprise Frontier Safeguards.
