Rohit Gavit, son of MLA Rajendra Gavit, was arrested by Palghar police. He is accused of assaulting hospital staff and taking patients during Dahi Handi celebrations. Nine other Govindas were also apprehended in connection with the hospital incident. The accused were presented before the Palghar sessions court. They have been remanded in police custody until September thirteenth.
