In a groundbreaking initiative, UNICEF Cameroon has ingeniously converted shipping containers into solar-powered digital classrooms. These innovative ‘e-containers’ have successfully connected approximately 20,000 children with vital internet access and modern educational tools. Launched in April 2021, the project has benefitted 17 schools across diverse regions, equipping teachers with essential training to maximize the potential of digital learning, particularly in areas previously hampered by infrastructure challenges.
