MSEDCL technician caught accepting Rs 18,000 bribe in Navi Mumbai, arrested

A Navi Mumbai Anti Corruption Bureau team arrested an MSEDCL technician red-handed. Rameshwar Nivrutti Ghanmode accepted Rs 18,000 as a bribe from a weigh bridge owner. The technician demanded the bribe for re-installing an electricity meter which had been removed. The complaint was verified, and a trap was successfully laid for the accused official. Ghanmode was apprehended while accepting the bribe money in a parked car.
