An auto driver strangled his wife to death in their residence. He then used her sari to hang himself from the ceiling. Neighbours discovered the tragic scene after receiving no response. The driver reportedly suspected his wife of infidelity and frequent phone use. Their two children are currently with their maternal grandparents in Davanagere.
