Hyderabad folk dancer Madhuri Rathod is recovering after an alleged suicide attempt on August 23. She reportedly attempted to hang herself due to a dispute with fellow dancer Eshwar Sai. Rathod accused Sai of deceiving her after promising marriage, and also alleged police inaction. Her family members intervened and rescued her just in time from the incident. The police are awaiting a medico-legal report to proceed with further legal actions.
