Mumbai’s cherished Gaiety-Galaxy cinema has stopped all film showings temporarily. The Bandra police pointed to a lapse in renewing the cinema’s operating license as the reason for this interruption. Contrarily, the theatre’s management revealed that the shutdown was due to burned cables. Just recently, Ali Fazal celebrated a successful screening at this historic venue, which has stood the test of time in the bustling city.
