The Bombay High Court has dismissed a student’s petition challenging cancellation of provisional admission to a B.Tech Renewable Energy Engineering course after the State CET Cell established that the scorecard submitted by the student had been tampered with. Official records showed actual percentile scores of 7.8474707 and 13.5482364 in two attempts, against altered scores of 78.874707 and 73.5482364. The Court upheld the admission cancellation and stressed the importance of authentic examination records in professional admissions.
