SGPC censures ‘desecration’ of Sikh youth’s kesh, kakaars in Punjab

The SGPC condemned the alleged torture of a Sikh youth after he questioned the Chief Minister. Mohanjeet Singh faced police excesses for raising concerns about Punjab’s drug problem. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami called the alleged disrespect of religious articles condemnable. An SGPC delegation visited the youth in hospital and assured him of assistance. The youth appealed to Akal Takht Jathedar for action against those responsible.
