The Sacramento Kings are weighing a reunion with free agent guard Russell Westbrook to mentor rookie Darius Acuff Jr., the No. 7 pick out of Arkansas. Insider Jake Fischer says Sacramento is also considering Victor Oladipo, who last played in 2022-23. Westbrook started 58 games for the Kings last season, averaging 15.2 points, 6.7 assists and 5.4 rebounds. Zach LaVine remains under contract on a cap hit near $49 million.
