Vijay Deverakonda, not Ram Charan, will play Lord Krishna in the Telugu remake of Gujarati hit Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate, produced by Dil Raju. The original film, about an auto driver rescued by Krishna, had a slow start but became Gujarati cinema’s biggest hit ever, crossing Rs. 100 crores after a strong word-of-mouth surge.
