The Education Ministry has extended the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship application deadline. Students can now apply until September 30, 2026, through the National Scholarship Portal. Verification deadlines for officials have also been extended to October 15 and October 31. This scheme supports meritorious students from economically weaker sections after Class 8. Eligible students receive Rs 12,000 annually for their continued education.
