Himachal Pradesh to introduce three-time attendance system across 150 CBSE government schools, says CM Sukhu

Himachal Pradesh will introduce a three-time attendance system in 150 CBSE government schools, with attendance recorded during morning arrival, lunch break and checkout. Separate dress codes will be prescribed for teachers and students, with the teachers’ dress code becoming mandatory from October 1, 2026. Teachers will receive Rs 5,000 as one-time financial assistance for prescribed dress. Around 1,200 teachers have been appointed, while the state will provide an additional Rs 80 crore for school improvements.
