Foreign buyers are significantly reducing their US residential real estate purchases. Sales of existing homes to international buyers fell 14% in unit volume. This decline mirrors a decrease in international visitors and tourists to the United States. Luxury new-home markets, however, remain relatively strong, especially in California. Canadians accounted for the largest share of foreign home purchases this past year.
