FMGE 2026: Foreign medical graduates call off protest after NBEMS agrees to rationalise paper difficulty

Foreign medical graduates have called off their protest after the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences agreed to key reforms in the FMGE. The board will hold an additional examination by October-end and plans to introduce a more balanced difficulty pattern. FMGE will also be conducted three times annually from the next cycle, while greater transparency in evaluation has been promised.
