Kandy’s historic Temple of the Tooth hosted the Esala Perahera Buddhist festival. Elaborately decorated elephants led a spectacular night-time procession through the city streets. Traditional dancers and drummers added rhythm and colour to the vibrant celebrations. Fire performers heightened the spectacle with flaming torch routines.
