Sovereign gold bonds: Non-Resident Indians cannot invest in Sovereign Gold Bonds currently. However, existing bondholders can continue holding them until maturity. NRIs can invest in physical gold and digital gold options. These include gold mutual funds and gold ETFs. A demat account is required for digital gold investments.
